"'E'ilet Abu Awwad" Series Adds Joy to Jordanian Celebrations of Ramadan

/Television PR News/ - Amman, Jordan, September 18, 2008 - with Decision Makers Channel to produce the comedy series "E'ilet Abu Awwad", the Abu Awwad Family. This series will be broadcast everyday throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan at 4.00 pm.
The 'E'ilet Abu Awwad Series is known for its humorous dialogues, provided by the renowned members of the Abu Awwad Family, and protagonist Abu Awwad, a role performed by famous Jordanian actor Nabil Al Mashini . The cast also includes the well-known actress, Abeer Issa, and others. Through a compelling storyline and a sequence of comedy sketches, the show aims to highlight the social issues faced by young Jordanians today. Its sketches are to bring joy to the viewers, while raising the spirit of love and cooperation between fellow community members.
Decision Makers Channel signed an agreement last August with the management of the official Jordanian TV (JTV), accordingly rights were granted to Decision Makers Channel to broadcast the series simultaneously with the national TV channel throughout the Holy Month.
Present at the signing ceremony were the Chairman of the Board of Sayegh Group Mr. Michel Sayegh, the Managing Director of Decision Makers Channel, representatives from JTV, and Mr. Nabil Al Mashini.
Mr. Michel Sayegh applauded the prospect of broadcasting the series on both channels throughout the Holy Month. To that effect, he said, "this initiative reflects more than 25 years of hard earned fame and popularity on the part of all involved actors. E'ilet Abu Awwad's high popularity encouraged us, at Sayegh Group, to sponsor the series and to revive its characters. We feel that the show highlights the social issues and challenges facing the Jordanian community today, achieved by light hearted comedy". |
