David Richard Thompson and Victor Bevine set to launch New Multi-Media Extreme/Action Sports Endeavor in 2009

David Richard Thompson and Victor Bevine of Ruff Magic Entertainment, brief history of the individuals and the company and the announcement of the upcoming launch of new International Extreme Sports Multi media endeavor in January of 2009.

LOS ANGELES, CA, October 21, 2008 /Television PR News/ -- David Richard Thompson, writer, musician, producer, actor... sports mogul? That's right, it is reported that Thompson, partner and co-owner of Ruff Magic Entertainment, will launch a new international sports enterprise in early 2009, which will include television, live action, and internet formats. David, and his business partner, Victor Bevine, are reported to be in the final stages of bringing a brand new extreme sport, which has until this time been relegated to exposure on Youtube and the internet, to the national and international stages. "This is set to explode in the next few months", says David, "We're lining up our ducks and we are almost ready to go. We've been around the world meeting with the athletes and we've got the best of the best! We are so excited to be a part of this great new sport!" Why so secretive, what is the sport, we asked? "It's something that most of you have seen, but you probably didn't realize that it is a sport. We, along with our athletes, are going to be the ones to put the names and faces on this new extreme action sports movement, so that by next year all these names are going to be household names. But, you're going to have to be patient and wait till 2009!"

David Richard Thompson and Victor Bevine formed Ruff Magic Entertainment in 2007, as a natural progression of their careers in television and film, both in front of and behind the camera. Thompson has a very diverse professional background having worked with world class fashion and celebrity photographers such as Herb Ritts and Mario Testino, as well as having a diverse music and acting career (he played "Roz's" boyfriend "Leon" on the popular sitcom "Frasier".) He was also the VP of T.V. and film development/acquisitions for Willis International, and for the past seven years has served as an independent T.V. development consultant. Bevine has had an illustrious television career as an actor and his script "Certainty" has won several screenwriting honors and is currently in development as a major motion picture, which he is set to direct. Ruff Magic Entertainment was formed, by Thompson and Bevine, to support their desire to create their own brand of sports television, scripted television and film, documentary film, and music. They have partnered before to create the documentary film "Starfish" which won as Best Documentary in the Elevate Films International Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2005. They have also served as mentors and consultants with numerous non-profits helping "at risk" youth through filmmaking and writing. Besides their 2009 multi-media sports project, they have several other television projects in development which they expect to bring about in the next year.
