Ian Jessel to Develop Ambassador Media Partners
BEVERLY HILLS, CA, March 09, 2010 /Television PR News/ -- Ian Richard Jessel, Film Executive and Partner at Ambassador Media Partners, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in film production and distribution.
Mr. Jessel has 35 years of professional experience, and is currently working as a film executive and partner of Ambassador Media Partners. His expertise is in international distribution, co-production and finance management. Ambassador Media Partners is a consulting firm specializing in distribution and finance, designed to assist and encourage young filmmakers and producers through the steps of production and distribution, and offer consulting services for finished films in need of distribution. Prior to joining Ambassador Media Partners, Mr. Jessel served as the Founding President of Miramax International and ITC Entertainment. In the future, he hopes to distribute his film, "The Garden of Eden," and produce a family entertainment film and television series entitled, "Russell," in New York and Australia.
A graduate of Brasenose College, Oxford Mr. Jessel completed a master of arts in modern languages in 1968, and a bachelor of arts in modern languages, with a concentration in French and German literature in 1966. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. He has received the Palme d'Or Award in Cannes four times and his films have been honored with 16 Academy Awards/nominations.
Mr. Jessel is noted for his role in the production and distribution of many films including "Z," "When Harry Met Sally," "Twin Peaks," "The Player," "Farewell My Concubine," "Pulp Fiction," "Bullets Over Broadway," "The Piano," "Prêt-à-Porter" and "Dead Man's Curve." He has held vice-presidential positions at CBS Films, and was President of Spelling Films and Miramax International. In 2006, he formed Timian Productions, an international production and distribution company based in Los Angeles, California.
